FOREWORD

SIA STATISTICS is a monthly publication of the Secretariat for Industrial Assistance (SIA), Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion giving detailed information on industrial investment intentions, production data and various industrial approvals.

The present issue contains statistical information on the delicensed sector as well as the licensable sector between August 1991 and August 2007. Production details of 209 non-SSI industries and their growth rates have been indicated.  Details of Industrial Licences issued during August 2007 are also included in this issue.
